Artist Bio: Legendary musician, Jerry Garcia, an artist from childhood was painting in oils by the age of seventeen. As a teenager in 1957, he studied at the San Francisco Art Institute. Jerry Garcia, in his youth, thought of himself as “an artist who played music.” Jerry was a prolific artist throughout his prodigious musical career and has created over two thousand original works. The virtuoso’s fine art has toured in exhibitions since 1990. In 2014, Keelin and Manasha curated the virtuoso’s art for Art in Pop exhibit at the Centre National d'art Contemporain Le Magasin. A total of twenty-one pieces were donated to the museum.

Jerry Garcia Music Arts LLC, a mission-based music and arts entertainment services company, celebrates Jerry Garcia's August 1st birthday worldwide with a remastered live recording of "Ripple" from the virtuoso's historic 1982 solo acoustic performance at the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey. The "Ripple" single will soon be available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, Deezer, iHeartRadio, Napster, MediaNet, VerveLife, Tidal, Gracenote, Shazam, and 7Digital.
